Our commitment. Bunzl Safety is an equal opportunity employer. We are building an inclusive culture in which every colleague, whatever their background, can thrive and build their career.
Our approach
Bunzl Safety is committed to focusing our employment procedures and practices on maximising the potential of each individual. We believe this is best achieved by developing our colleagues’ talents while recognising their different cultures, perspectives and experiences.
The creation of an inclusive culture goes beyond treating people fairly. By embracing diversity and removing any perceived or real barriers to engagement, we create a positive working environment for all colleagues and build the skills and capabilities our business needs.
Inclusive teams are more innovative and adaptable, and a broader range of perspectives supports better decision making. For a business that serves customers across every sector and region of the UK, that is a commercial strength as well as a responsibility.
Equal opportunity
Bunzl Safety is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to equality of opportunity for all colleagues and applicants, and we oppose discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, or any other characteristic protected by law.
This commitment applies to recruitment and selection, terms and conditions, training and development, promotion, and every other aspect of employment across all of our companies. Reasonable adjustments are available throughout the recruitment process and in work.
Our policies on equality, dignity at work and speaking up are set at group level by Bunzl plc and apply in every Bunzl Safety company.
Inspiring Women in Bunzl
Inspiring Women in Bunzl is our network for women across the group. Its purpose is to make Bunzl a leader in creating a supportive and empowering culture in which women can achieve their goals, and to increase the number of women in senior roles.
The network supports development, mentoring and sponsorship activities that prepare women for leadership, alongside regional and local women’s resource groups. Across Bunzl, 25% of senior leadership positions are held by women, ahead of the group’s minimum target of 20%.
A voice for every colleague
- Listening groups at regional level, so that under-represented voices are heard directly by senior leadership.
- Reverse mentoring, pairing senior leaders with colleagues from different backgrounds.
- Great Place to Work survey results reviewed each year and used to shape action plans for under-represented groups.
- Cultural awareness resources that recognise significant cultural and religious events throughout the year.
Reporting and accountability
Bunzl plc publishes its gender pay gap report annually and reports on diversity, equity and inclusion in its Annual Report. Gender pay report 2025.
Within Bunzl Safety, our wider social commitments, including our partnerships with social enterprises that create employment for people with disabilities and people facing barriers to work, are set out in our Sustainability and ESG report 2025/26.
